River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusebio Amor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesar Kepa stood somewhat misplaced when Devlet Kaplan came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 28 minute. Eusebio Amor took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cesar Kepa. Cesar Kepa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If Devlet Kaplan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Israel Marquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devlet Kaplan in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesar Kepa saved El Xeneise FC from getting behind. When Israel Marquez came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the River fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Israel Marquez couldn't finish the play. Eusebio Amor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eusebio Amor was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

After a defensive mix-up in El Xeneise FC's zone, Eusebio Amor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesar Kepa came out of the goal and Eusebio Amor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Devlet Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind El Xeneise FC's goalkeeper Cesar Kepa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ciro Milio fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Xeneise FC's protests and gave Ciro Milio a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Milio hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute of the game Paolo Erruki made a throw-in which Ciro Milio played forward. After some careless play in the El Xeneise FC defense, Devlet Kaplan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesar Kepa. The El Xeneise FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesar Kepa should have stopped the shot. After 96 played minutes El Xeneise FC got a freekick which was hit by Jacobo Hurko. There was no doubt that River were the better team. River's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
