Alfonso Argider took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Celestino Tonio. Guajal AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 20th minute Leonel Abella shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Tonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Niceto Salvadore made an important save on a dangerous shot by Siro Bihar in the 22nd minute. In the 24th play minute Siro Bihar came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Niceto Salvadore. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Everardo Bide in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celestino Tonio saved Guajal AFC from getting behind. In the 31st minute, Erubiel Gelacio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After a rather tough play, Guajal AFC's Mauro Mateus got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a little luck, Rats's Niceto Salvadore got control of the ball when Siro Bihar tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Abella in the 46th minute of play forced Guajal AFC's goalkeeper Celestino Tonio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Guajal AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rats were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everardo Bide to make the kick off. Santo Maraman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Rats getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Alvaro Padro hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Bihar during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Guajal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Bihar to maneuver through the defense. Everardo Bide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Tonio having to interfere. Santo Maraman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guajal AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Everardo Bide scored to the left of an out of position Celestino Tonio, making the score, 1-3. Celestino Tonio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Bide, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After having played for 71 minutes, Nemesio Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guajal AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nemesio Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 84th minute, Diego Maju sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Rats's Niceto Salvadore didn't even have to move. Guajal AFC's Celestino Tonio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Guajal AFC from getting a goal against them. Alvaro Padro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Tonio having to interfere. 96 minutes into the match, Everardo Bide dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Celestino Tonio, 1-5. When the match was over Rats could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Guajal AFC throughout the match.
