Edelmiro Orland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Devlet Kaplan in the 3rd minute of play. Eusebio Amor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Orland having to interfere. Evaristo Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Tadeo Esiquio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edelmiro Orland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebio Amor in the 32nd minute of the match. Edelmiro Orland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Devlet Kaplan, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Devlet Kaplan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Edelmiro Orland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 43 minutes of play, River's Devlet Kaplan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edelmiro Orland was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Devlet Kaplan was the one to do the kick off. Medinas's Edelmiro Orland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Devlet Kaplan in the 56th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Devlet Kaplan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edelmiro Orland. Medinas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Devlet Kaplan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Medinas's Evaristo Laurin got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Devlet Kaplan got free with Edelmiro Orland in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Medinas's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Devlet Kaplan scored to the left of an out of position Edelmiro Orland, making the score, 0-3. Devlet Kaplan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edelmiro Orland firmly grabbed it by the left post. Edelmiro Orland was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Devlet Kaplan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Devlet Kaplan really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. In the 90th minute, Tomas Dolfos made a precise shot to the right of Tadeo Esiquio. River's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4.
