Robustiano Guillen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Devlet Kaplan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, Canallas RC's goal looked a bit too open when Devlet Kaplan came free, but Robustiano Guillen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Devlet Kaplan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River's supporters crossed their fingers, but Devlet Kaplan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arsenio Hechter kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Devlet Kaplan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. River's Israel Marquez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Filomeno Quirce in the 28 minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devlet Kaplan in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robustiano Guillen saved Canallas RC from getting behind. After 30 played minutes Canallas RC got a freekick which was hit by Arsenio Hechter. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Devlet Kaplan in the 36th managed to get into a good position. The audience thought a goal was coming when Godofredo Bermudo got free with Tadeo Esiquio in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eusebio Amor ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Canallas RC's Godofredo Bermudo got a free kick in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeo Dominguez was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Devlet Kaplan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Guillen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Canallas RC's Robustiano Guillen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Canallas RC from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devlet Kaplan in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Guillen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of River:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Canallas RC:s goal. Gregorio Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the match Teo Jurdan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tadeo Esiquio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Devlet Kaplan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robustiano Guillen was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Devlet Kaplan in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. River's Devlet Kaplan got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Devlet Kaplan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robustiano Guillen having to interfere. Devlet Kaplan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Devlet Kaplan lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Robustiano Guillen. Maximino Isadore took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tadeo Esiquio. River's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tadeo Esiquio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeo Dominguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Devlet Kaplan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98th match minute, River was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Reno to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Canallas RC's Teo Jurdan got a free kick in the 99th minute. River were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
