Santos Chanos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Hilario Sagrario to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Iruinea in the 26th minute of play forced Sarmiento AFC's goalkeeper Hilario Sagrario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amado Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcial Peruanton in the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Julian Oihenarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amado Cordeiro having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mojón FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sarmiento AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
