Spectators: 7079 (Terracing: 5384, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 45) Santillán's Jeremias Giro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Carolo Honesto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chalanta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santillán the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Chalanta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Honesto to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Chalanta FC's zone, Jeremias Giro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victoriano Bermudo came out of the goal and Jeremias Giro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 6th minute, Robustiano Rameriz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victoriano Bermudo came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Santillán's Delmar Abel. But to his dismay, Delmar Abel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Victoriano Bermudo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delmar Abel in the 10th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Casimiro Paez in the 15th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Rigoberto Quirce charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rigoberto Quirce the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes Santillán got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Quirce. The supporters of Chalanta FC booed when Santillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Oxarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Ramiro Ofelio sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santillán's Florencio Pueblo didn't even have to move. Desiderio Natanael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Florencio Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Carolo Honesto had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Rigoberto Quirce was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 24 minutes had been played. Rigoberto Quirce kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Delmar Abel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victoriano Bermudo having to make a save. 30 minutes into the match, Santillán's goalkeeper Florencio Pueblo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Israel Tximitx. The audience thought a goal was coming when Desiderio Natanael got free with Florencio Pueblo in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Lucas Mannie fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santillán's protests and gave Lucas Mannie a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Santillán got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Mannie. Delmar Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st match minute, Chalanta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Rameriz to maneuver through the defense. Santillán's Delmar Abel got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Desiderio Natanael stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Delmar Abel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Victoriano Bermudo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 61 played minutes Chalanta FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Ofelio. The supporters of Santillán booed when Chalanta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Ofelio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Chalanta FC's goalkeeper Victoriano Bermudo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmar Abel. Desiderio Natanael received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Florencio Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Desiderio Natanael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delmar Abel might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Bermudo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delmar Abel ran back to his position shaking his head. Desiderio Natanael blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Florencio Pueblo having to make a save. After 87 minutes, Reynaldo Rocio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santillán and the Chalanta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 87th minute, one of Santillán:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santillán. Desiderio Natanael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Israel Tximitx managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chalanta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Tximitx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Pueblo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vinicio Oxarra kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match.
