Fausto Haitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Lobo in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Inautzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Club Sportivo Maipú's Serafino Lobo in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yapeyú AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Yapeyú AFC's Julio Cugat got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yapeyú AFC's zone, Serafino Lobo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Inautzi came out of the goal and Serafino Lobo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geronimo Ofelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Javier Inautzi having to interfere. If Geronimo Ofelio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Lobo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 38th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 42ndth minute of the game Serafino Lobo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yapeyú AFC's Javier Inautzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Yapeyú AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Lobo came free, but Javier Inautzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Serafino Lobo took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Javier Inautzi. Javier Inautzi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After 65 minutes, Armando Karmel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yapeyú AFC and the Club Sportivo Maipú players grew even worse after the yellow card. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Inautzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When German Leoiar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Yapeyú AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that German Leoiar couldn't finish the play. After 94 minutes, Elvio Osoitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yapeyú AFC and the Club Sportivo Maipú players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Sportivo Maipú had played much better football throughout.
