Gaston Lucian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Illan in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Prospero Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foolbolito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GoNzA FC the free kick. A collision led to Foolbolito FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Prospero Lopes hit a great ball. Ciro Illan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Gaston Lucian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Rexino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Prospero Lopes's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Foolbolito FC booed when GoNzA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Oso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 30 minutes of play, GoNzA FC's Anier Precioso made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaston Lucian was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaston Lucian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anier Precioso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jose Tirso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolfo Rexino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Anier Precioso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Lucian having to interfere. The Foolbolito FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GoNzA FC were winning 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jose Tirso to strike the kick off in the second half. GoNzA FC's Anier Precioso got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute Jose Tirso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adolfo Rexino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Lucian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciro Illan in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute, Danilo Ferrando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Foolbolito FC's Gaston Lucian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anier Precioso in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute of the match Jeronimo Llorian sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaston Lucian skillfully saved the ball. Gaston Lucian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anier Precioso in the 67th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Anier Precioso took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Gaston Lucian to make any attempt to save it. With an all-out effort, GoNzA FC's Gaston Lucian threw himself towards the right post 72 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anier Precioso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aristides Frasquito hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Anier Precioso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, GoNzA FC's Anier Precioso got a free kick in the 74th minute. 78 minutes into the match, GoNzA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Benicio Fraco came free, but Adolfo Rexino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Illan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaston Lucian having to interfere. If Ciro Illan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GoNzA FC's Adolfo Rexino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Fraco in the 96th minute of play. GoNzA FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
