The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Osvaldo Ostadar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aurelio Incendio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruben Eder, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. When Gervasio Santana fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nihuil's protests and gave Gervasio Santana a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Eder in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Incendio saved Nihuil from getting behind. Aurelio Incendio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Primitivo Ekain in the 16th minute of the match. Lorenzo Errolan's late challenge caught a Nihuil's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Errolan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st minute, Lorenzo Errolan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eriberto Enetz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorenzo Errolan got his second yellow card in the match during the 26th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Nihuil booed when Italó FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Errolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Italó FC's Ruben Eder got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Ostadar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Blas Sandaili hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. A collision led to Nihuil getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Gervasio Santana hit a great ball. Italó FC's Anibal Jakobe couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nihuil. Italó FC's Ruben Eder got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ruben Eder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Aurelio Incendio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ruben Eder to make the kick off. Osvaldo Ostadar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Nihuil getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Maximino Cristofol hit a great ball. With a little luck, Nihuil's Aurelio Incendio got control of the ball when Ruben Eder tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Felix Theobald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Enetz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ruben Eder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Italó FC's Miguel Rik suffered a concussion in the 63rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 63 minutes into the game, Cristobal Sal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nihuil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Italó FC the free kick. In the 64th match minute, Nihuil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristobal Sal to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Anibal Jakobe from long distance, 65 minutes into the match, got Aurelio Incendio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Maximino Cristofol fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nihuil's protests and gave Maximino Cristofol a yellow card for diving instead. After 70 played minutes Nihuil got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Cristofol. After a rather tough play, Nihuil's Maximino Cristofol got a free kick in the 75th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Felix Theobald notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Italó FC's Eriberto Enetz. Eriberto Enetz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Felix Theobald came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Nihuil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Theobald couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Felix Theobald made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Enetz. Italó FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Italó FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nihuil.
