In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Porvenir's goalkeeper Baldomiro Godoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomiro Godoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximino Cristofol in the 20th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Geronimo Udalaitz made a precise shot to the right of Aurelio Incendio. Nihuil's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geronimo Udalaitz in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aurelio Incendio saved Nihuil from getting behind. In the 35th minute Hilario Ospin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Incendio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Hilario Ospin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Porvenir's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Theobald came free, but Baldomiro Godoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hilario Ospin was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hilario Ospin in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Incendio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Nihuil booed when Porvenir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Udalaitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felix Theobald struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Baldomiro Godoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nihuil. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Porvenir walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
