In the 9th match minute, C.A .Boca juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Dominic to maneuver through the defense. Ivan Odon hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Constantino Boni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guido Loiola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silvio Resto having to interfere. After 25 played minutes UNION ROSARIO got a freekick which was hit by Ariel Refugio. Ricardo Hernando in the 30thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Norberto Arnalt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Norberto Arnalt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Boni, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some careless play in the C.A .Boca juniors defense, Ricardo Hernando kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norberto Arnalt. The C.A .Boca juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norberto Arnalt should have stopped the shot. When Constantino Boni came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the UNION ROSARIO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Constantino Boni couldn't finish the play. Constantino Boni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Norberto Arnalt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Constantino Boni made a kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A .Boca juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joaquin Cedro was slow to take the kick. During this time UNION ROSARIO's players had a chance to rest. After 58 played minutes UNION ROSARIO got a freekick which was hit by Justo Cristofor. 59 minutes into the match, UNION ROSARIO's goalkeeper Silvio Resto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Sergi. After 61 minutes, Guido Loiola made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. UNION ROSARIO's Silvio Resto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Hernando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Guido Loiola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Mariano Sergi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Silvio Resto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Loiola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
