The referee ignored Fontana's protests and gave Oscar Cordeiro a yellow card for diving instead. Oscar Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Candido Jatsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Munio in the 10th minute of the match. Arsenio Brun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Jatsu having to interfere. When Donato Munio came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Fontana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Munio couldn't finish the play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Candido Jatsu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Candido Jatsu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arsenio Brun. When Jesus Urtsua came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Nueva Chicago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jesus Urtsua couldn't finish the play. Pedro Geleberto kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Donato Munio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fontana's supporters rose to their feet, but Donato Munio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Candido Jatsu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Fontana's Donato Munio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Candido Jatsu. Candido Jatsu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Nicasio Miro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 41 minutes, Jesus Urtsua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nueva Chicago's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Urtsua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Candido Jatsu came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Fontana's Donato Munio. But to his dismay, Donato Munio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesus Urtsua made a kick off. Arsenio Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Cordeiro got his second yellow card in the match during the 60th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Oscar Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Candido Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Pedro Geleberto notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Nueva Chicago's Candido Jatsu. Candido Jatsu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Orlando Francis acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 72nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Cleto Bartoleme. 74 minutes into the match, Fontana's Arsenio Brun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Candido Jatsu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Astor Ireno hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Arsenio Brun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Candido Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Urtsua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Francis having to interfere. In the 86th minute Arsenio Brun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Candido Jatsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Pedro Geleberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Pedro Geleberto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Candido Jatsu. Nueva Chicago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Geleberto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Fontana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Jesus Urtsua scored to the left of an out of position Orlando Francis, making the score, 4-1. Fontana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
