The Fontana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 7th minute Gregorio Bidari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Francis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mean Machine's goalkeeper Segundo Erdiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oscar Cordeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Gregorio Bidari who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fontana's Orlando Francis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oscar Cordeiro during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Segundo Erdiano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 25th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ivan Goizeder. After 27 played minutes Fontana got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Geleberto. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Bidari couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsenio Brun got free with Segundo Erdiano in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlando Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gregorio Bidari in the 42nd minute of play. The Mean Machine fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Mean Machine's Israel Aztore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Mean Machine were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
