With his leg Guillermo Naldo managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Nueva Chicago's Nicasio Miro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Jesus Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Miro got free with Guillermo Naldo in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute, Narciso Rik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A.Los Andes's Guillermo Naldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Los Andes from getting a goal against them. Hermengildo Tabb's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Candido Jatsu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. If Hermengildo Tabb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Candido Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Tabb in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nueva Chicago's Astor Ireno got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Nicasio Miros short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Guillermo Naldo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nicasio Miro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jesus Urtsua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Hermengildo Tabb notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Nueva Chicago's Candido Jatsu. Candido Jatsu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hermengildo Tabb recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesus Urtsua was the one to do the kick off. Candido Jatsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Calisto, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Dante Lucila kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. When Sixto Perrando came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the C.A.Los Andes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sixto Perrando couldn't finish the play. Hermengildo Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Candido Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hermengildo Tabb sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of C.A.Los Andes booed when Nueva Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Lucila didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Jesus Urtsua managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Jesus Urtsua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillermo Naldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Miro in the 70th minute of play. Jesus Urtsua struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Guillermo Naldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nueva Chicago. 75 minutes into the match, C.A.Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Nicasio Miro came free, but Guillermo Naldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute, Hermengildo Tabb reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Candido Jatsu. The goal made the score 1-3. Candido Jatsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Tabb, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute, Sixto Perrando left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A.Los Andes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. If Sixto Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A.Los Andes's Guillermo Naldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jesus Urtsua in the 94th minute of play.
