First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! In the 32nd play minute Ricardo Hernando came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Orlando Francis. 1-1. After 40 played minutes Fontana got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Geleberto. Fontana's Orlando Francis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Fontana from getting a goal against them. After having played for 43 minutes, Ricardo Hernando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UNION ROSARIO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricardo Hernando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Fontana's goalkeeper Orlando Francis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Hernando. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Munio to strike the kick off in the second half. Orlando Francis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Hernando in the 53rd minute of the match. Eleuterio Sergi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 56th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Orlando Francis. Fontana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Oscar Cordeiro's late challenge caught a UNION ROSARIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Oscar Cordeiro hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Donato Munio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ariel Refugio's late challenge caught a Fontana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Lando, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Constantino Boni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando Francis having to make a save. Constantino Boni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. UNION ROSARIO were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fontana for a fine match.
