The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Felix Muc fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rancul's protests and gave Felix Muc a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Rancul got a freekick which was hit by Felix Muc. With an all-out effort, Fontana's Isidro Urre threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Donato Munio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to Rancul getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Felix Muc hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sixto Remigio during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 20th minute, Sixto Remigio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arsenio Brun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

52 in the game Rancul's Marcial Gipuzkoa showed how dangerous he can be in front of the goal when he by his own managed to get a clear opportunity for a shot. The following shot went just left of the goal. The supporters of Rancul booed when Fontana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zeledon Claus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blas Guilabertus kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Sixto Remigio was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. In the 64thth minute of the game Faustino Marino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fontana's Orlando Francis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustino Marino had several of the Fontana's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 64 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-1 score and a disappointed Orlando Francis as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 69th match minute, Rancul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Romo to maneuver through the defense. Marcial Gipuzkoa hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Rancul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomil Orlicki to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rancul's zone, Arsenio Brun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Urre came out of the goal and Arsenio Brun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Melquiades Romo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcial Gipuzkoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Guilabertus blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando Francis having to make a save. It was joyful for the audience to see Marcial Gipuzkoa dribbling past the opponents defense line in the 93rd played minute and put the ball into the net. 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Rancul left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fontana.
