In the 19th minute Bruno Santiago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Alfonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Froilan Canor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bruno Santiago came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Balacco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Santiago couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Xema Team's goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Alfonso came free, but Froilan Canor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Hibai during the 29th minute. Balacco FC's Jose Mano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Balacco FC from getting a goal against them. If Bruno Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Xema Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Balacco FC were winning 0-1.

After some careless play in the Xema Team defense, Bruno Santiago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Froilan Canor. The Xema Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Froilan Canor should have stopped the shot. Balacco FC's Benedicto Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Serafino Alfonso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Froilan Canor was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Froilan Canor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Alfonso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Balacco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Montes came free, but Jose Mano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
