Spectators: 7352 (Terracing: 5515, Seating: 1690, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eloy Videl started the match with the kick off. Angel-Abel Del Fierro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Gustavo Cunha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Filomeno Gaztea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palomitas's supporters rose to their feet, but Filomeno Gaztea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustavo Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Angel-Abel Del Fierro put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gustavo Cunha. Palomitas's Hector Goren was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gustavo Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Palomitas's Eloy Videl in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico Union's goalie prevented a goal. Gustavo Cunha didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 21st minute, which inside left pole to 3-0. An unexpected shot in the 26th minute by Angel-Abel Del Fierro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gustavo Cunha stood somewhat misplaced when Eloy Videl came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 26 minute. Eloy Videl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angel-Abel Del Fierro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Gustavo Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 40 in the game by Eloy Videl from a close distance when the talented Gustavo Cunha managed to make a qualified save. Club Atletico Union's players were relieved. Angel-Abel Del Fierro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horacio Tono's late challenge caught a Palomitas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horacio Tono helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Club Atletico Union got a freekick which was hit by Horacio Tono. Angel-Abel Del Fierro did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 6-0 to the left of a surprised Gustavo Cunha 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eduardo Artal was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Palomitas's Angel-Abel Del Fierro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustavo Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Eloy Videl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustavo Cunha came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Palomitas's Angel-Abel Del Fierro. But to his dismay, Angel-Abel Del Fierro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. In the 69th minute, Angel-Abel Del Fierro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Filomeno Gaztea notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Club Atletico Union's Gustavo Cunha. Gustavo Cunha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 75th minute Timoteo Joachim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Filomeno Gaztea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palomitas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 79th minute Eloy Videl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th minute, Filomeno Gaztea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Norberto Francis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eloy Videl in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustavo Cunha saved Club Atletico Union from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Angel-Abel Del Fierro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustavo Cunha was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Eloy Videl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Cunha having to interfere. Palomitas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
