Deportivo San Rafael's Adélio Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Ekain in the 30th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulino Erramun during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes, NOB's Virgilio Pierres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adélio Neves came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NOB reached it. Fernando Quintun made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Honorato Ikatz sent off a good shot on target. David Policarpio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernando Quintun having to make a save. The audience was convinced that David Policarpio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernando Quintun was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Honorato Ikatz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Quintun having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Policarpio to strike the kick off in the second half. David Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Federico Rey was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Fernando Quintun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Policarpio, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in NOB's zone, Paulino Erramun stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Quintun came out of the goal and Paulino Erramun tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If David Policarpio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Policarpio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gaspar Ekain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. In the 86th match minute, Deportivo San Rafael was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ubaldo Aureo to maneuver through the defense. 87 minutes into the match, Gaspar Ekain notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Deportivo San Rafael's Adélio Neves. Adélio Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Deportivo San Rafael's Adélio Neves got control of the ball when Gaspar Ekain tried to sneak it across the goal line.
