But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gerardo Sugoi couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ninjas in Pyjamas's zone, Fricson Cecilia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tadeo Laurentzi came out of the goal and Fricson Cecilia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Sugoi in the 17th minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Tadeo Laurentzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Saul Bernad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estancieros Borrachos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ninjas in Pyjamas the free kick. 19 minutes into the game, one of Estancieros Borrachos FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ninjas in Pyjamas a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ildefonso Karlo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Estancieros Borrachos FC's Cristobal Henric. 1-0. Fermin Gervaso kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Marciano Ibañez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeo Laurentzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gerardo Sugoi's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. If Marciano Ibañez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 62 minutes, Gerardo Sugoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Estancieros Borrachos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Sugoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tadeo Laurentzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fricson Cecilia, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Ninjas in Pyjamas's goal looked a bit too open when Fricson Cecilia came free, but Tadeo Laurentzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fricson Cecilia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tadeo Laurentzi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Sugoi in the 96th minute. Ninjas in Pyjamas succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Estancieros Borrachos FC had controlled the match.
