Sportivo Apolo's Froilan Ralondo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 17 minutes into the match, Salado AFC's goalkeeper Silvano Monte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Chago. With a little luck, Salado AFC's Silvano Monte got control of the ball when Diego Chago tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvano Monte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Froilan Ralondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 24 minutes, Ulises Bernabel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salado AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulises Bernabel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Salado AFC booed when Sportivo Apolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonatan Vito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Etxeberri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofilo Inge's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Gonzalo Medina hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Silvano Monte was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute, Ulises Bernabel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sportivo Apolo fully deserved thier win.
