In the 10th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Seguinus to maneuver through the defense. Ermegildo Gorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ismael Roland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramiro Raymon hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. When Teodoro Leobardo fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alijilán's protests and gave Teodoro Leobardo a yellow card for diving instead. Rolando Koldobika fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Jaunti having to interfere. Ermegildo Gorri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ismael Roland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Orlando Ostargi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Fernan Jaunti made a huge save. Ismael Roland didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ermegildo Gorri went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ismael Roland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Ugaitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ermegildo Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Rolando Koldobika made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Orlando Ostargi made a precise shot to the right of Fernan Jaunti. Independiente's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Orlando Ostargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute of the match Fabio Evis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernan Jaunti showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ismael Roland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicasio Ugaitz in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Alijilán's Gaudencio Savion got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ermegildo Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Orlando Ostargi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Jaunti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermengildo Bastia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 78th minute. Independiente's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of Alijilán booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florentino Seguinus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Gorri took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael Roland. Eusebio Palos hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the match, Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Ostargi came free, but Fernan Jaunti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Independiente's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
