In the 9th minute, Vinicio Abarca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Rivero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 10th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Melquiades Hermon. Portezuelo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cornelio Otsando struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Melquiades Hermon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alemano. 29 minutes into the game, Portezuelo's Tiburcio Lluciano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvio Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Leonardo Asur charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Asur the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Alemano booed when Portezuelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Asur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiburcio Lluciano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Elvio Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Alemano getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jacinto Llanos hit a great ball. Ermegildo Tiniebra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvio Romero having to make a save. Portezuelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ermegildo Tiniebra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cornelio Otsando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alemano's Ignacio Jaizki got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tiburcio Lluciano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melquiades Hermon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ignacio Jaizki in the 49th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Lluciano made the kick off in the second half. When Jacinto Llanos came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Alemano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Llanos couldn't finish the play. In the 55th match minute, Portezuelo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Boniel to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, Cornelio Otsando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Hermon. Portezuelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Otsando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Cornelio Otsando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. The corner led Portezuelo's Cleto Gabon to fire away a dangerous shot which Elvio Romero despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. During the 73rd minute of the match Leonardo Asur completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonardo Asur a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Portezuelo's Leonardo Asur got a free kick in the 74th minute. After 75 played minutes, Alemano's Vladimiro Rivero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melquiades Hermon came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alemano reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Cornelio Otsando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alemano's supporters rose to their feet, but Cornelio Otsando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Hermon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Portezuelo's Ermegildo Tiniebra got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The nice shot from Ermegildo Tiniebra in the 88thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Elvio Romero had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Ermegildo Tiniebra's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elvio Romero firmly grabbed it by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Llanos during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alemano's Jacinto Llanos got a free kick in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Cornelio Otsando had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Melquiades Hermon. Portezuelo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Otsando was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Alemano were victorious despite being under pressure from Portezuelo for much of the match.
