San Martín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Sugar to maneuver through the defense. Alejo Qwinton hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Benedicto Favila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene Hegoi in the 11th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the game, Santa Fe FC's Paulino Luzaide nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benedicto Favila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rene Hegoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Benedicto Favila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rene Hegoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulino Luzaide fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Favila having to interfere. Hernan Restu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benedicto Favila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Atilano Lain struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Alonzo Ponce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gral. San Martín. Rene Hegoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Favila having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Gral. San Martín's goal looked a bit too open when Hernan Restu came free, but Benedicto Favila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Santa Fe FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Paulino Luzaide made the kick off in the second half. Alonzo Ponce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Ilazki in the 51st minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, Santa Fe FC's Rene Hegoi made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benedicto Favila was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benedicto Favila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rene Hegoi in the 68th minute. Benedicto Favila was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paulino Luzaide showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 70 minute of play. Benedicto Favila didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. Rene Hegoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Benedicto Favila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gral. San Martín getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Daniel Koldobika hit a great ball. Alonzo Ponce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Atilano Lain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonzo Ponce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alejo Qwinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Santa Fe FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gral. San Martín.
