Angelo Cutberto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulino Luzaide in the 35th minute of play. Urutaú's Angelo Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Luzaide in the 36th minute of play. Segundo Llope fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Cutberto having to interfere. Luciano Tabby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Alonzo Ponce made a huge save. The Santa Fe FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Santa Fe FC's Paulino Luzaide looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Rene Hegoi came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Santa Fe FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Hegoi couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melquiades Caitano was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute Urutaú were awarded a corner. Mateo Oxarra went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Mateo Oxarra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alonzo Ponce quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 58th minute, Luciano Tabby ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Ponce was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Lander in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angelo Cutberto saved Urutaú from getting behind. Melquiades Caitano scored 2-1 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonzo Ponce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Angelo Cutberto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Restu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 77 minutes, Paulino Luzaide managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Fe FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Luzaide was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amado Argina kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Rene Hegoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, Santa Fe FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Neto to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute Melquiades Caitano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonzo Ponce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Hernan Restu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angelo Cutberto. The goal made the score 2-2. Urutaú succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Santa Fe FC had controlled the match.
