The supporters of Nightwatch booed when Cafayate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervasio Paskal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Filomeno Jacindo could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Alfredo Belmiro however easily saved by the left post. In the 12th minute, Eriberto Gaspard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nightwatch's Alfredo Belmiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Gaspard in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Gervasio Paskal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nightwatch's Moises Cristofol couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cafayate. 18 minutes into the match, Cafayate's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Eron came free, but Placido Sasoin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Rigoberto Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nightwatch's supporters rose to their feet, but Rigoberto Eron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Sasoin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cafayate's Placido Sasoin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leandro Estevez in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Rigoberto Eron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Placido Sasoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The crowd rose to their feet as Nightwatch's Rigoberto Eron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Placido Sasoin. That made the score 0-1 after 62 minutes of play. Rigoberto Eron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Sasoin having to interfere.
