Spectators: 7212 (Terracing: 5410, Seating: 1659, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cesar Tabb started the match with the kick off. Isidro James struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Bartolo Lastur didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carril. Cesar Tabb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Rameriz having to interfere. In the 9th minute Baltasar Goiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bartolo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisito Rameriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Cesaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute of the match, Gustavo Cesaro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Luisito Rameriz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 17th match minute, Carril was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixto Fix to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Team Roughnecks defense, Godofredo Bordat kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bartolo Lastur. The Team Roughnecks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bartolo Lastur should have stopped the shot. Bartolo Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Bordat in the 25th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Team Roughnecks got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Chesus. Godofredo Bordat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Team Roughnecks's Bartolo Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltasar Goiz in the 34th minute of play. With his leg Luisito Rameriz managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Team Roughnecks's Gustavo Cesaro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, Carril's Luisito Rameriz got control of the ball when Gustavo Cesaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Team Roughnecks's Cesar Tabb got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cesar Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Luisito Rameriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Carril's Luisito Rameriz got control of the ball when Gustavo Cesaro tried to sneak it across the goal line.

If Godofredo Bordat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Carril's goal looked a bit too open when Cesar Tabb came free, but Luisito Rameriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesar Tabb took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisito Rameriz. Luisito Rameriz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Gustavo Cesaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Tabb received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Luisito Rameriz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 79 minutes, Godofredo Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Lordi hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Carril's Albino Atarrabi suffered a sore thigh after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Fabian Acosta's late challenge caught a Carril's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Acosta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd minute, Fabian Acosta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustavo Cesaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Rameriz having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Marcelino Chesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Team Roughnecks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carril the free kick. After 92 played minutes Team Roughnecks got a freekick which was hit by Marcelino Chesus. Carril's Godofredo Bordat got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
