Ercoupe FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carril the free kick. Elpidio Rivero hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ercoupe FC defense, Baltasar Goiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guillermo Cortez. The Ercoupe FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guillermo Cortez should have stopped the shot. Godofredo Bordat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Guillermo Cortez made a huge save. Guillermo Cortez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baltasar Goiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Ercoupe FC's Bartolo Peli got a free kick in the 18th minute. Isidro James kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Ercoupe FC's goal looked a bit too open when Baltasar Goiz came free, but Guillermo Cortez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godofredo Bordat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Guillermo Cortez made a huge save. In the 40th play minute Godofredo Bordat came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guillermo Cortez. 2-0. Baltasar Goiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Guillermo Cortez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Baltasar Goiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ercoupe FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! After 56 played minutes Ercoupe FC got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Lartaun. If Godofredo Bordat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Godofredo Bordat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Godofredo Bordat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luisito Rameriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Primitivo Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Luisito Rameriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ercoupe FC. Baltasar Goiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godofredo Bordat struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Guillermo Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carril. Carril's Luisito Rameriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Carril from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Ercoupe FC booed when Carril was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidro James didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hector Dimo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Guillermo Cortez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Eguntsenti in the 90th minute of the match. Carril's Baltasar Goiz got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
