Gerardo Ramone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albano Dominic having to interfere. Independiente's Filiberto Dimo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Licerio in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Bernabe Llorenc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernabe Llorenc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albano Dominic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Filiberto Dimo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The wind increased when Leonel Licerio made the kick off in the second half. Agustin Veronica could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Albano Dominic made a huge save. Ramon Ibon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 58 minutes, Braulio Eguerdi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tabaquillo and the Independiente players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Tabaquillo got a freekick which was hit by Braulio Eguerdi. Leonel Licerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Filiberto Dimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silvano Santiago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvano Santiago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Tabaquillo booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Ramone didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvano Santiago in the 81st minute of play forced Independiente's goalkeeper Filiberto Dimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tabaquillo booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ladislao Jaume didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Tabaquillo's Albano Dominic got control of the ball when Ramon Ibon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvano Santiago struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Filiberto Dimo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tabaquillo. Tabaquillo were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
