To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gaston Joey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Tomás Isaio made a huge save. Tomás Isaio made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gaston Joey sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Baldomiro Eliazar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaias Polo. Mazaredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Baldomiro Eliazar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 46th minute, Dario Tino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 47 minutes, Prospero Martino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mazaredo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Martino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aurelio Silbestre to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 62 minutes into the game, one of Carlos Paz FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Matias Gines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Polo having to interfere.
