The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Emiliano Rios got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Santikurtz in the 13th minute of play forced Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Simon Berdoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Nastasio stood somewhat misplaced when Paolo Jaume came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. Benjamin Nastasio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Geofredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Dolcet Vizcarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Douglas Haig's supporters rose to their feet, but Dolcet Vizcarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benjamin Nastasio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Paolo Jaume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simon Berdoi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mauricio Santikurtz went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Nithungam F.C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elvio Geofredo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benjamin Nastasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Jaume in the 40th minute of the match. Benjamin Nastasio made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Emiliano Rios sent off a good shot on target. Douglas Haig's Herminio Elequemedo got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paolo Jaume in the 48th minute of play forced Nithungam F.C.'s goalkeeper Benjamin Nastasio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Santikurtz was the one to do the kick off. Simon Berdoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paulo Admon in the 53rd minute. When Emiliano Rios came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Rios couldn't finish the play. Paulo Admon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Simon Berdoi made a huge save. 60 minutes into the game, Guillermo Quico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douglas Haig's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nithungam F.C. the free kick. Esteban Oton shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Benjamin Nastasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paolo Jaume in the 68th minute of the match. The supporters of Nithungam F.C. booed when Douglas Haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolcet Vizcarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simon Berdoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Santikurtz in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Nithungam F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Dolcet Vizcarra came free, but Benjamin Nastasio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 86th minute of the match Guillermo Quico completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Guillermo Quico a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Nithungam F.C. booed when Douglas Haig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Quico didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamin Nastasio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Eloy Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dolcet Vizcarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Douglas Haig's Dolcet Vizcarra got a free kick in the 97th minute. Douglas Haig were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
