When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Honorio Seber took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Jose Tiniebra to make any attempt to save it. Aquilino Ourente charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aquilino Ourente the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Club Atlético Yggdrasil getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Serafin Calisto to make the kick off.
