Los Diablos's Baltasar Ourente got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolando Flor kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Virgilio Kimetz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romulo Thomas. Boston United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgilio Kimetz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Felipe Barrionuevo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Orlandus, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. After 24 minutes, Godfredo Canor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Diablos and the Boston United players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Baltasar Ourente came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Los Diablos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Baltasar Ourente couldn't finish the play. Rolando Flor hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Kimetz to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Virgilio Kimetz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romulo Thomas. The goal made the score 1-2. Arnaldo Orlandus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Barrionuevo having to interfere. If Baltasar Ourente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romulo Thomas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Kimetz, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Romulo Thomas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Kimetz in the 69th minute of the match. If Roberto Oton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 76 minutes into the game, Los Diablos's Baltasar Ourente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Thomas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Boston United's Romulo Thomas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Kimetz in the 80th minute of play. Romulo Thomas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Baltasar Ourente in the 85th minute. The audience was convinced that Jonatan Frederik's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Felipe Barrionuevo was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. The Boston United supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Diablos's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Diablos.
