Manuel Goyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Tancredo made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Silvano Jerrold mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bermejo and the Capos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 53 played minutes Bermejo got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Jerrold. Manuel Goyo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Arias in the 59th minute of play. 61 minutes into the match, Capos FC's goalkeeper Julian Sagrario had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergio Joachim. Capos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bermejo the free kick. Bermejo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
