In the 18th minute Albano Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Goyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bermejo's Manuel Goyo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Maureo in the 24th minute of play. Jose Tiniebra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Cresencio in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 30 minutes, Leon Cresencio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bermejo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leon Cresencio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Yggdrasil's goalkeeper Jose Tiniebra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leon Cresencio. A collision led to Club Atlético Yggdrasil getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Aurelio Sanson hit a great ball. Jose Tiniebra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bermejo. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Leon Cresencio made the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Yggdrasil's Jose Tiniebra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Joachim in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Cresencio in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jose Tiniebra saved Club Atlético Yggdrasil from getting behind. Bermejo's Manuel Goyo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Bermejo from getting a goal against them. Sergio Joachim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Conrao hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Atlético Yggdrasil booed when Bermejo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Ovando didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Yggdrasil's Omar Conrao got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Albano Ubendu came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Club Atlético Yggdrasil fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albano Ubendu couldn't finish the play. Bermejo's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
