After 19 played minutes Los Diablos got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Oton. When Carmelo Harriet fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Los Diablos's protests and gave Carmelo Harriet a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Artaldo struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Felipe Barrionuevo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Centauro Madryn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epifanio Ramos in the 26th minute of play forced Los Diablos's goalkeeper Felipe Barrionuevo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emilio Florian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgilio Kimetz in the 28th minute of play. Los Diablos's Felipe Barrionuevo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Los Diablos from getting a goal against them. Roberto Oton hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Carlos Artaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Barrionuevo having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Epifanio Ramos made a kick off. Centauro Madryn's Emilio Florian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Kimetz in the 53rd minute of play. 56 minutes into the game, Centauro Madryn's Carlos Artaldo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felipe Barrionuevo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. If Epifanio Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felipe Barrionuevo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epifanio Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Artaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucio Berbiz during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Lucio Berbiz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Felipe Barrionuevo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epifanio Ramos in the 71st minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Centauro Madryn got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Firman. Baltasar Ourente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Emilio Florian made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Epifanio Ramos in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Felipe Barrionuevo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 83 minutes into the match, Los Diablos's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Artaldo came free, but Felipe Barrionuevo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Diablos's Felipe Barrionuevo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Ramos in the 85th minute of play. Centauro Madryn's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
