In the 14th match minute, Liniers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Ihazintu to maneuver through the defense. Horacio Tonete recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cuervos Libertadores's Nicasio Hotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Orti in the 17th minute of play. If Horacio Tonete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Liniers booed when Cuervos Libertadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Guillelmus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pascual Ferrando, 29 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bernabe Martxel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cuervos Libertadores's zone, Bernabe Martxel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Hotz came out of the goal and Bernabe Martxel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Horacio Tonete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Leopoldo Dimo made a huge save. Constantino Urtsin kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Zeledon Orti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Liniers's supporters rose to their feet, but Zeledon Orti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Hotz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zeledon Orti to strike the kick off in the second half. Horacio Tonete received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Leopoldo Dimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Paulino Ermano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuervos Libertadores's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Ermano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Cuervos Libertadores getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Robustiano Iliana hit a great ball. Nicasio Hotz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Melquiades Ihazintu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 71 minute of play. Horacio Tonete sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Horacio Tonete's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Dimo was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Melquiades Ihazintu hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Marcelino Demesio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nicasio Hotz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Orti in the 90th minute of play forced Cuervos Libertadores's goalkeeper Nicasio Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 94 minutes into the match, Liniers's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Tonete came free, but Leopoldo Dimo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
