When Edelmiro Hustaz fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored The Strongest fc's protests and gave Edelmiro Hustaz a yellow card for diving instead. Edelmiro Hustaz kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Enzo Mateus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimeno Venerando, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino Ilixo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaias Aurken saved Luna de Avellaneda FC from getting behind. Isaias Aurken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Urritz in the 30th minute of play. Erasmo Duardo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 33rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Celedonio Urritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernan Jaunti in the 41stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Enzo Mateus, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jimeno Venerando fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enzo Mateus having to interfere. If Jimeno Venerando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jimeno Venerando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Luna de Avellaneda FC booed when The Strongest fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Strongest fc's Enzo Mateus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Jaunti in the 75th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gogo Torres during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, The Strongest fc's Gogo Torres got a free kick in the 79th minute. After 80 played minutes, Luna de Avellaneda FC's Severino Paulin shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Enzo Mateus came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Luna de Avellaneda FC reached it. Enzo Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Venerando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enzo Mateus was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in The Strongest fc's zone, Hipolito Astigar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Mateus came out of the goal and Hipolito Astigar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enzo Mateus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Venerando, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes The Strongest fc got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Fliz. After recieving a nice pass, Luna de Avellaneda FC's Severino Paulin tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Luna de Avellaneda FC fully deserved thier win.
