With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Erramun in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicasio Hotz saved Cuervos Libertadores from getting behind. 8 minutes into the match, Cuervos Libertadores's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Erramun came free, but Nicasio Hotz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute, Fausto Oliveiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulino Ermano in the 19th minute of play forced Lagunilla's goalkeeper Baldomero Montrell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Lagunilla's Fausto Oliveiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicasio Hotz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Fausto Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicasio Hotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Erramun in the 27th minute of the match. Cuervos Libertadores's Horacio Tonete got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fausto Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Erramun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Hotz having to interfere. Baldomero Montrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Tonete in the 40th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulino Ermano to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Otsando in the 52nd minute of play forced Cuervos Libertadores's goalkeeper Nicasio Hotz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horacio Tonete fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Montrell having to interfere. Paulino Ermano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nicasio Hotz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Oliveiro in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Fausto Oliveiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Hotz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Moises Haritzeder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lagunilla and the Cuervos Libertadores players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lagunilla getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Moises Haritzeder hit a great ball. Fernando Erramun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nicasio Hotz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. If Fausto Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Lagunilla booed when Cuervos Libertadores was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Michael didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85thth minute of the game Fernando Erramun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cuervos Libertadores's Nicasio Hotz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernando Erramun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Horacio Tonete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cuervos Libertadores's Horacio Tonete in 97 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Baldomero Montrell guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Cuervos Libertadores's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
