Lagunilla's Fernando Erramun got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Dimo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Oliveiro in the 13th minute of play. Fernando Erramun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leopoldo Dimo having to interfere. When Melquiades Ihazintu fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Liniers's protests and gave Melquiades Ihazintu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Lagunilla booed when Liniers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Ihazintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17th play minutes Fernando Erramun shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Leopoldo Dimo and just under the crossbar into goal. Zeledon Orti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baldomero Montrell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Lagunilla's goalkeeper Baldomero Montrell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernabe Martxel. In the 26th match minute, Lagunilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Hitz to maneuver through the defense. In the 33rd minute, Zeledon Orti fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Baldomero Montrell, passed just outside the right post. Bernabe Martxel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Baldomero Montrell skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Erramun in the 38th minute of play forced Liniers's goalkeeper Leopoldo Dimo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeledon Orti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Baldomero Montrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lagunilla's Ramiro Transito got a free kick in the 44th minute. The Liniers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lagunilla were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Fernando Erramun made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lagunilla's zone, Melquiades Ihazintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Montrell came out of the goal and Melquiades Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fausto Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Liniers getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marcelino Demesio hit a great ball. In the 71st minute, Serafin Ritchie sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Liniers's Leopoldo Dimo didn't even have to move. After 78 played minutes Lagunilla got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Otsando. If Fausto Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Dimo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Erramun in the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Lagunilla booed when Liniers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Ihazintu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Erramun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Leopoldo Dimo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo Dimo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Erramun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Liniers's goalkeeper Leopoldo Dimo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Lagunilla's Fernando Erramun sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leopoldo Dimo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 97 minutes into the match, Liniers's goalkeeper Leopoldo Dimo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Haritzeder. The Liniers supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Lagunilla's performance. The match ended with a win for Lagunilla.
