The audience thought a goal was coming when Victorio Oidor got free with Cristobal Rosario in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When InstitutoAtleticoFC's Victorio Oidor in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cristobal Rosario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Oidor, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Cristobal Rosario stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Victorio Oidor's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Fabian Hunfredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Buison having to interfere. Carolo Lizbeth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Rosario having to interfere. If Victorio Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristobal Rosario showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorio Oidor in the 39th minute of the match. Victorio Oidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cristobal Rosario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorio Oidor to make the kick off. Victorio Oidor helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th match minute, InstitutoAtleticoFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorio Oidor to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute, Victorio Oidor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Eulalio Botello managed to get in a good position for a shot. InstitutoAtleticoFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eulalio Botello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristobal Rosario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victorio Oidor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, InstitutoAtleticoFC's Victorio Oidor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristobal Rosario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zenon Walentowicz in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Rosario saved Guayacán FC from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Zenon Walentowicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victorio Oidor struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Cristobal Rosario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for InstitutoAtleticoFC. InstitutoAtleticoFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
