The referee ignored Ballester AFC's protests and gave Baltasar Rojelio a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Ballester AFC got a freekick which was hit by Baltasar Rojelio. Faustino Nabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Shepherd having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Melquiades Loramendi in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Shepherd prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Severino Videl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Vedillo having to interfere. Jorge Shepherd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Melquiades Loramendi in the 34th minute of play. Francisco Jakes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Shepherd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Loramendi in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Jakes was the one to do the kick off. Damaso Gaur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Shepherd having to interfere. After 53 played minutes Iturraspe got a freekick which was hit by Justino Naldo. Ballester AFC's Luisito Vedillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Cesaro in the 56th minute of play. After 61 played minutes Iturraspe got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Meder. Benicio Cesaro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Faustino Nabar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 75 minutes into the match, Melquiades Loramendi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Shepherd. Iturraspe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melquiades Loramendi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 80 minutes of play, Iturraspe's Severino Videl made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luisito Vedillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benicio Cesaro kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 90th minute of the match Froilan Dantae shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Shepherd showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Melquiades Loramendi might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Shepherd. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Melquiades Loramendi ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Iturraspe defense, Faustino Nabar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorge Shepherd. The Iturraspe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorge Shepherd should have stopped the shot. Francisco Jakes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luisito Vedillo having to interfere.
