In the 15th minute, Faustino Nabar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Hunfredo in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Vedillo saved Ballester AFC from getting behind. After 20 minutes, Baltasar Rojelio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballester AFC and the Guayacán FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ballester AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Baltasar Rojelio hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Guayacán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Godfredo Abalos to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Ballester AFC's Godfredo Truylos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristobal Rosario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute of the match Godfredo Truylos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristobal Rosario showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ballester AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melquiades Loramendi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Faustino Nabar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristobal Rosario having to interfere. In the 38th minute Melquiades Loramendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristobal Rosario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luisito Vedillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Hunfredo in the 39th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Melquiades Loramendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 44 played minutes Guayacán FC got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Barbosa.

The wind increased when Melquiades Loramendi made the kick off in the second half. Remigio Nataniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The audience thought a goal was coming when Faustino Nabar got free with Cristobal Rosario in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Baltasar Rojelio kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Guayacán FC's Eleuterio Santio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Ballester AFC. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ballester AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
