Melchor Sandalio was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Zenon Walentowicz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zenon Walentowicz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Norberto Katia's late challenge caught a InstitutoAtleticoFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norberto Katia helped the player get up and apologised. Melchor Sandalio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carolo Lizbeth, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Victorio Oidor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carolo Lizbeth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Melchor Sandalio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Damaso Lano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Buison saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes InstitutoAtleticoFC got a freekick which was hit by Zenon Walentowicz. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Victorio Oidor managed to get in a good position for a shot. InstitutoAtleticoFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Oidor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melchor Sandalio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damaso Lano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Buison having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Matias Bernaldo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Concepción's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave InstitutoAtleticoFC the free kick. After 47 played minutes InstitutoAtleticoFC got a freekick which was hit by Eulalio Botello.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Damaso Lano was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Victorio Oidor made a precise shot to the right of Melchor Sandalio. Concepción's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Evelio Boni kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Melchor Sandalio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carolo Lizbeth in the 58th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Victorio Oidor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melchor Sandalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Botello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erubiel Ixidor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Armando Buison made a huge save. In the 65th minute of the match Gaspar Servando sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Melchor Sandalio skillfully saved the ball. Melchor Sandalio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Oidor in the 67th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Victorio Oidor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melchor Sandalio was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. If Victorio Oidor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Victorio Oidor came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the InstitutoAtleticoFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorio Oidor couldn't finish the play. Melchor Sandalio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zenon Walentowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zenon Walentowicz kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Concepción defense, Eulalio Botello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melchor Sandalio. The Concepción fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melchor Sandalio should have stopped the shot. When InstitutoAtleticoFC's Victorio Oidor in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. InstitutoAtleticoFC's Victorio Oidor got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. InstitutoAtleticoFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
