Norberto Bizen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Jorge Shepherd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isidro Sotil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Iturraspe getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Justino Naldo hit a great ball. Iturraspe's Jorge Shepherd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isidro Sotil in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Iturraspe's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Bizen came free, but Jorge Shepherd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Iturraspe getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Justino Naldo hit a great ball. After 33 minutes of play, Porvenir's Norberto Bizen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Shepherd was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Porvenir's Melquiades Mendebal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jorge Shepherd narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Severino Videl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Francisco Jakes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iturraspe's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Jakes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Jurdan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 minutes, Norberto Bizen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porvenir and the Iturraspe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Norberto Bizen kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Porvenir were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Bizen was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Benicio Cesaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Severino Videl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Videl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Jurdan having to interfere. Jorge Shepherd made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Bizen in the 67th minute. If Valentin Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpected shot in the 73rd minute by Norberto Bizen got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Norberto Bizen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th match minute, Iturraspe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benicio Cesaro to maneuver through the defense. Porvenir's Isidro Sotil got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norberto Bizen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Shepherd stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isidro Sotil's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iturraspe's goalkeeper Jorge Shepherd, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Federico Sesuldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Shepherd having to interfere. Norberto Bizens short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Jorge Shepherd to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 94 minutes into the match, Norberto Bizen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Shepherd. Iturraspe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Norberto Bizen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Porvenir's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
