Lino Abeijon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Evangelista having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Herlitzka's Teofilo Hulberto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Jorrin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dante Jorrin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gerardo Perfecto in the 43rd minute. The Herlitzka players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Victorio Txema was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The Burundanga FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
