Victoriano Valentine recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, Enrique Naelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ildefonso Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Timoteo Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Ildefonso Ranolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugalete's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Ranolfo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Arce came out of the goal and Victoriano Valentine tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ildefonso Ranolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Jose Arce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cleto Ramos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marciano Efren went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jose Arce made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Victoriano Valentine sent off a good shot on target. 97 minutes into the match, Portugalete's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Efren came free, but Cleto Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
