After 5 played minutes Burundanga FC got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Erlantz. Dante Jorrin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Bembe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lino Abeijon hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Modesto Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Mikelats's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Dante Jorrin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd minute, Modesto Mikelats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Modesto Mikelats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Dante Jorrin made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Modesto Mikelats kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dante Jorrin. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Modesto Mikelats sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Modesto Mikelats blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dante Jorrin having to make a save. During the 95th minute of the match Angel Eguen completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Angel Eguen a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 97th minute, Timoteo Romano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rustico FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
