When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Casimiro Haritz made a kick off. Ildefonso Checa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Milio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Americo Bermudez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ildefonso Checa having to interfere. In the 63rd minute Prudencio Milio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ildefonso Checa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelino Fagondo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ildefonso Checa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelino Fagondo got free with Ildefonso Checa in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. C.A. Victoriano Arenas played a much better game than Club Atlético Sol de Mayo and deserved their victory. The Club Atlético Sol de Mayo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
