Leonides Asteri came out of the goal and Humberto Froila tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu da Fonseca in the 34th minute of play forced El Tunel A.C's goalkeeper Leonides Asteri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36thth minute of the game Humberto Froila who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but El Tunel A.C's Leonides Asteri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Humberto Froila had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leonides Asteri. El Tunel A.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Froila was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. If Humberto Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Humberto Froila to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 56th minute by Romeu da Fonseca got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Tunel A.C's goalkeeper Leonides Asteri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Romeu da Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Asteri having to interfere. If Humberto Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to El Tunel A.C getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Santo Canor hit a great ball. Romeu da Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, El Tunel A.C's Delmar Estevez got a free kick in the 67th minute. If Humberto Froila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Abella kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match Romulo Erramun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basilio Lorien skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Newels old boys's Erubiel Abella got a free kick in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Newels old boys's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Ongile came free, but Basilio Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Romeu da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Newels old boys fans jumped to their feet. Leonides Asteri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Newels old boys's Romeu da Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leonides Asteri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, El Tunel A.C's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Froila came free, but Leonides Asteri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Erasmo Ongile left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Tunel A.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 90th minute Romeu da Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Asteri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, El Tunel A.C's Octavio Azubeli got a free kick in the 91st minute. Humberto Froila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Newels old boys's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
